Can something PLEASE go right?

Well I have to admit, the morning started off good, I woke up and my heart was beating. But it quickly went downhill from there.

I looked over at the alarm clock, and I was 30 minutes late waking up. I'd forgot to turn on the alarm when I went to bed.

I get out of bed flip the switch, and flash, and no light. The bulb blew.

Walk down the hallway to my office sit down to my desk and look over at my server monitoring screen, and I see Red and Yellow flashing (not good). I'm thinking "wonderful, what now?" The Red was due to a Bandwidth spike to 13 mbps that lasted more than 10 minutes. Cool, nothing to worry about, a customer is just grabbing their backup.

Now what's all these darn yellow ones... Over 3mbps for more than 10 minutes, over 3mbps for more than 30 minutes, and there's like 20 of these. I start looking at the charts, and I'm a little confused, never seen this type of activity before... Turns out more than one customer was downloading their backups.... This Whew!!! nothing to worry about.

Next I go in to turn on the cable to check the weather, projector comes on, but no picture. Press the guide and get a list of what's supposed to be on.... Dang now the cables out. Time to call Time Warner... 45 minutes later a picture is on, dogs outside, time to get off to work.

Go to the dryer to grab my jacket, pull it out dang its damp, and its like 30 something degrees out...

Stop at Quick Trip to get my morning soda, and they're out of my favorite soda mix...

Pull into the office parking lot and the first good thing happens, I get a parking spot close to the door, so maybe the damp jacket that just warmed up will keep me warm until I'm inside!!!

Get to my desk, and here we are!!!

Things ARE looking up though, some secret admirer put a cup of candy on my desk... But they must admire everyone because there's the same cup on every desk.

Stay tuned for my next rambling session, I have a Christmas wish list for Visual Foxpro coming...
